The thing that scares me the most about this picture is that this was the better of two choices. To jump, and have a chance at living, or to undoubtedly die inside the twin towers. These people have families, friends, pets. This was their last hope, and their last moments at life.

They knew there was no hope of living by jumping which makes it even worse that this was still the better choice as apposed to being burnt alive.
